Where is the oil coming from?

I have been trying to diagnos a massive oil loss. The engine was rebuilt, installed, and when started (had to be pull started) after a few minutes oil started to slowly drip out the tail pipe. There was so much oil in the combustion chambers I think this is why it wouldn't start without a pull, basically was being flooded with oil.

So, I pulled the engine out, and stripped it down. My oil control rings and seals are in good order, and the only issue I saw with them was that the oil control ring springs were in the grooves, but the white and blue springs were mixed with each other on every rotor face rather than all white being forward and all blue being on the rear of the rotors.

So my next question that I can't seem to find the specs, is the porting that was done to the irons. How do i go about checking the ports to make sure that my oil leak isn't due to my irons being ported in a way that is allowing oil to leak out.

My turbos appear to be fine, no endplay and the last engine they didn't even smoke, so for them to leak this amount of oil, to me, is very unlikely.

And I need to go back to my shop to verify this, but last night and today I cannot remember when I pulled the rear stationary gear out if there was an o-ring on the stationary gear, not the big orange main seal, but the o-ring that is suppose to be there.

And also, my engine ran for about 25 minutes that time I had it pull started and then I brought it back to the shop and stripped it all back down....so when i sort this oil leak out, would it be okay to reuse the water seals since they were brand new and again only used for that one time? They are not HD water seals, just the OE seals from Atkins.

So again, I'm basically looking for porting tolerences and howto properly measure my ports, and what the lack of a rear stationary gear o-ring would cause, oh and those oil ring springs and the color coding on them and what the cause of mixing the colors and their proper locations up would cause....or any other input as well!!!

***

The front and rear plates were ported towards the eshaft, and the oil control rings were overlapping the port, thus causing my oil leak.

yes the water seals can be reused, i've done it before with no problems. that o ring that goes around the rear stationary gear i think prevents oil leak. normally what i do sometimes is add some hylomar around it just for insurance when i'm doing a build.

Post picks of the porting, it should be fairly obvious if it is ported too deep into the oil control path for it to cause oil dripping out the exhaust.

It was ported inward into the oil ring track. I've already rebuilt the engine with new side plates.

Thanks guys.
