Default How Loud do you think this will be?

My new exhaust setup is as follows:

Keeping the NA Baffles intact to help reduce noise.

A T60-1 Turbonetics Turbo with a 62mm Turbine.

A RacingBeat large 3" in/out presilencer.

2 Magnaflow 2.5" in/out Mufflers

Just general feelings, doesn't have to be accurate. I'm more concerned about having the LEO's pull me over in Virginia, so general feelings about how loud it's going to be.

Its VA and you have a non-OE exhaust, you'll get pulled over. Just budget for the monthly tickets, lol.

That its not OE? I tried that. I was with a guy who got pulled over for his factory Racing Beat exhaust in a speed protege. It took FOREVER to convince the cop that it was OEM.

Poll option: Cops will already have a road block set up when you arrive.

The baffles will only hurt power. The baffle's purpose is to cut the wave as it leaves the port, but wouldn't the turbine wheel do the same thing? With a turbo in the way, I would assume that the difference between baffles and no baffles would be pretty much unnoticeable. My guess is that if there is a difference, it would be when the wastegate is open as there isn't a turbine wheel in the way.

Which would happen when i am in pressure (i'm not planning on running that much) at the very most 8psi during the summer. There may come a time later when I push it a little more, but until then the wastegate will probably be open more times than not.

While running exhaust gas will always be passing through the turbine, so it will always be muffled somewhat. I'd say remove the baffles, you're really only shooting yourself in the foot because exhaust is easily modified, but once you build the motor with the baffles in place you'll have to rebuild again to remove them.

I'm already planning on rebuilding this engine so that's not much of a concern. Right now I would like to avoid the possibility of 1) destroying the housing 2) of making unnecessary noise by removing them 3) i'm just plain lazy.

My hope is to have this engine survive long enough while I piece together another one exactly the way I want it. This means radical 6PI porting--I'm currently thinking of a way to port the upper portion of the 6PI and I have a junk iron to find out what the possibility of it is. No Baffles Hi-Comp lightened rotors (RX8 maybe? May stick with NA S4) lightened eccentric shaft. Turbo II housings, aluminum side "irons" and a few other goodies.

What I want from the exhaust however is a system that can be kept in place until I desire to break into the massive horsepower range (will not happen until I'm out of college). I also want it to muffle a majority of the sounds coming from the engine so I don't sound like a little fart cannon machine like this:

It won't be very loud.

As long as you're using magnaflows, it won't sound rice.

I'd ditch the inserts IMO. Going to hurt your engine more then removing them will hurt your ears............EGT's man, think EGT's.

Also bear in mind - a factory TII doesn't have the inserts. Is it too loud? (yes I realize it has a stock exhaust at that point too)
