I will be visiting next February. I will be going to Osaka to visit a friend.
But I will also like to do some site seeing. Where are some good places
to go? Like for some rotary history stuff. And also good places for
Japanese History to take in some sites

Thanks in advance,
Luke

I have a girl friend in Osaka. So I'll be going no matter what. I do like the
idea of some of us getting to gether to go out though. I'd love to
get some track time out there

Go to the Mazda Museum in Hiroshima, and the Transportation Museum out there as well. They are free, but you need to setup a schedule for the tour well beforehand. The Mazda museum tour takes you through the factory (no pictures allowed).

The Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagoya is worth a visit too. Toyotas, but all japanese makes, and plenty of awesome condition US and European cars on display too (2 stories tall).

Those are 2 good historic places.

Tokyo Auto Salon is worth checking out in early January, and most of the "tuning shops" are in Yokohama, Tokyo, or Chiba. (I.E: R-Magic, Scoot Sports, RE-Amemiya, Knightsports)

I was going to go in January as well, but looks like change of plans of friends in Japan, lack of being able to find work, might put it on lockdown for good.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will have to look to see if I will be able to get
near any of those area's. I'll be in Osaka. But she will be working some
of the days that I'll be there. So I'll have some time to kill. Thanks again,
Luke

Nagoya is about 1 hour give or take by Bullet Train before Osaka.

Hiroshima is about 2-3 hours by Bullet train from Osaka going south.

Depends if you take Nozomi or Hikari (This is covered under JR Pass).

I'm still planning on going... although it will be summer or fall. I spoke with you a while back Circuit Theory and I'd still love to have you show me around some of the car/racing stuff when I get there. I have a friend that is stationed in Okinawa, so I'm thinking I may hang out at Japan's Hawaii for a week with him and then hit up Tokyo and the other places I want to go(climb Mt. Fuji, etc...). Man, I get stoked just thinking about it. Not to mention there are a couple of nice hotels in the middle of downtown Tokyo that are dirt cheap that are for service members and family only!!!

Has anyone in Japan, ever heard of www.japan-partner.com
I want to work for them!!

Also, how hard is it to go to car meets, or car events,
or even car cruises?
do those happen occasionally?

the Vacuum line, to my MAP became detached while I was legally drifting.
my engine would not rev past 2500, and idled from 300-650 and was stalling.
Fortunately, I acquired a Zip-Tie.
I fixed a catastrophic engine failure, With a Zip-Tie.

Can you show me where the Fujiwara tofu shop is located? I hear they have a panda 86.

How is the best way for someone from the US to act. How can I go there and not upset people. I am in the Navy so if I go it will be thru them.
