Default new head lights out soon.

hey guys i know i know i posted 2 threads about lights in one day but this is about head lights. i was looking for a pic of a rear light iam thinking of useing for a custom tail light setup and found this on the truck-lite web page.
new 7 inch head lights oem dot replacement lights

yes i know there for a 24 volt system but they are about to release a 12 v light.

i figured id let you guys know since i had to buy cheap ebay lights cause i wanted to have to replace only a bulb not the whole thing.

cant wait till they come out, i wount have to replace a burnt out bulb for years and dont have to worry about messing them up installing them if i touch them .

Very cool, LED headlights, who would have thought. Don't forget it'll also be a lot less of a drain on the electrical system.

No doubt. /\

I really like LEDs but never thought they'd be capable as headlights. Lighting in a 1st gen is lackluster so I am excited.

first i hope i dont get tons of pm's about this.

my step farther works at a auto parts place. they sell too fleets(ups, fed ex,bfi, boston police ect), stores like napa, and local shops that work on car's. they are a truck lite dealer so when they put the 12v system out i will be able to get them at a dirt dirt cheap price.
so jeff20b when i get my set ill send you one for free for the help you have given me.

I would very much love to get some LED headlights if they're as great as I think they'll be. My current headlights are Sylvania xtravision which, while good, are still pretty crappy.

The rods were both broken (lacking nylon bushings) so both my headlights used to be aimed too low all the time making things difficult. I was able to replace the driver's side which helped a bit but the forward lighting is still dangerously inadequate.

I have a set of driving lights I was going to install as time permits. They should tide me over until the 12A LED headlights are a reality. Keep me posted.

I too, will be watching for the release of 12V LED headlights. The current lot of lights available to fit are all power hungry, and don't do a great job of lighting the road.

trust me i all hear you on how bad our headlights are.

i went out and got a set of ebay lights for 30$ since you can replace just the bulb in them. then i went and got off road only h4 bulbs which are really bright.
there not so bright they blind people tho i wouldn't want to blind any one.

yeah i could of gone with a hid kit. but id rather not drop that much money. that plus i hate people with hid lights since they blind me on the roads.
