Replace all the bushings, add some new shocks, maybe springs. If you want to go a step further change over to a 5 lug set up.

I had a set of Racing Beat springs and Tokico HP (blues) on my TII and they were fine for DD, "spirited driving", and even auto-x. I thought the price for RB springs were pretty reasonably priced. Also for DD, my opinion is to go w/ factory rubber. Poly is nice, but the ride is rougher and they deteriorate every 3-5 years depending on road conditions.

yea I already bought the kyb's and I went and looked on RB sight and the spring rates look low as compaired to other places also this car is going to be dd for this summer until I can get the new clutch in so no auto-x's for me

if you get a chance, read through the suspension section of the RB catalog. good info on suspension setup. the RB springs rode very comfortable for DD, but were stiff enough for good cornering power. there are actually a few good books out there on suspension that i found really interesting at the library, of all places.
but if the library is too archaic, borders or barnes and noble... i just happened to go into the library during lunch, out of curiosity, and its also close to where i work. (dont we usually just check the internet and forums like this?!?!) |
