Guess It's Time

Well.. been on the forum for a couple weeks and I figured it is about time for me to introduce myself.

Where to start....?

My name is Justin... I have redish hair.. (yes im a Ginger... and I can handle all the jokes) I like movies and blazing hot days on the beach in 200 percent humidity. I have owned several Rx7s..

1992 FD3s -- Burned a fiery death
1986 GXL -- Never got a title.. parted out and junked.
1986 Base w/TII swap. -- this thing was a wiring nightmare.. fast but tons of problems.
1988 -- Sold the 1986 Base for this. Had suspension mods.. gutted cats and TID. Probably my favorite car to date.

Currently I own 2 7's .

a 2000 RB Special Edition .. Nothing special done to it. Couldnt do much since i bought it from Mazda and it had a warranty. Right now its got Toda Fightex Coilovers (may be for sale soon), stainless steel lines, HP Plus pads.. RB front swaybar. Just got my Garfinkle Engine torque damper so prepare for a comparison between it, no bar, and an ebay special.
I also have the banzai diff brace, ive got a tranny brace and alummy motor mounts on the way. Just got my Power FC but need to get a wideband and a datalogit before I install.. (had some issues with very lean and crazy high knock numbers). I broke a rear wheel and bent the subframe so i had to swap that, got me a good deal on some Type RZ BBS wheels.. Im loving those.

the other is a 1991 FC3s Turbo II. Not much done to it, light flywheel, full exhaust, intake, and some crappy suspension. Im actually trying to sell it (cheap!!) but.. its in japan so too bad for you stateside guys.

I mostly participate in HPDE events and autox events. (our tracks are parking lots) Junkyard Racer just left here and is moving on to bigger and better things. I hope to be outta here next year so i can start road racing. I tried drifting a bit but... its too hard and expensive to get good. Id rather stick to grip driving.. (which i SUCK at.)

Anyway... I really like the forum.. love the layout and the purpose.. Hopefully i can contribute to the site.

later,

Justin

Sounds good. I think you will be pleased with the Garfinkle engine dampner. David is a great guy and lives about 45 minutes from me

I honestly think the FD is the sexiest car out of Japan. It's was innovative and the styling is timeless. The refreshes just made it even sexier.

+1 The only car in the early 90's who's body lines are better than most up to date sports cars... i would say one of the sexiest cars alive.

there is my baby, a little dusty from the AZ desert but still sexy nonetheless.

no doubt.. I love the FD.. the only car i think i like more is the Lotus Exige..

heres the 88 FC
my old sig

heres the 91 FC
the guy that had it before me wrecked the entire passanger (us driver) side of the car. the ripped the frame rail from the body inside the wheel well. the front subframe was bent, control arm broke, along with pretty much everything else in there. the rear bumper peice is broke, the side skirt (which was mounted with hot glue and crooked) ripped off, broke both wheels and broke the rear toe control rod. oh, and destroyed the front bumper that was on there.

i fixed everything but the body work, put this bumper on because it looked better than the other. he had some kind of lower fog light mounted on the far right and left side. i dont think they came on the car because the entire area was cut to fit the light. it looked lame as hell and there was no mounting hardware so i left it out. i plan to fix the aftermarket bumper along with a few other things to get it back to good condition.

2000 FD

ive got a TON more pictures.. if you want to see action shots or shots of stock rims etc etc check out either the Dr1ft_Ninja photobucket or N3philum.

I dont have pics of the new wheels.. or the fightex suspension.. ill post those after the next wash and wax.

not hard.. problem is it is super expensive to ship. Mine are almost mint and id love to get rid of them and get some mint bins but its hard to find em. i sold a set about a year ago for 350 shipped.. cost me 250 just to ship it.. its not worth my time. (no offense)
