9th Annual Rotary Meet @ Markham Park Nov 2nd Saturday
9th Annual " Rotary Meet" @ Markham Park Saturday Nov. 2nd @ 1 PM
Location: Markham Park 16001 West State Road 84. Sunrise, FL 9th Annual Rotary Meet at Markham Park. Bring friends and family. Most important, bring a rotary powered car or a previously rotary powered car with a different power plant (We Don’t discriminate…. we may not like it, but we will still give you love) . if you don't have a rotary powered car and love rotary's this event is for you. Everyone is welcome. No food or drinks will be served. Please bring your own food and drink to the park or eat and drink before you get there. This is the biggest Rotary Powered Vehicle Meet in South Florida. I don't know of any other this size. We usually have between 50-70 cars. below is a link to a forum members picture thread from last years meet. http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...ad.php?t=16582 http://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-forum...hread-1016730/ if these pics don’t get you excited about the meet, you don't love rotary's. Anyways, don’t miss this event. Search the event on this site and you will see all the pics. Its pretty sick. It’s a great time…. We promise.... Last edited by ZGN; 10-02-2013 at 12:34 PM.. I haven't been to the Markham park meet in over 8 years. Dang, it's been a LONG time. unfortunately, my FD won't be ready for this one, but next year, i have to catch up. I wonder if any of the old guys are still there, or if it's a new crowd by now.

Rotary Meet sounds great !!!
This is our first post. My wife and I are Old timers that never grew up and we love to drive our RX 8 hard.
Due to my age, (74) I am looking for some one in the Daytona Beach area to work with me on up grading the water and oil cooling system so I can drive it harder. I allready have added cooling fans behind each oil cooler but the engine still runs to hot because Mazda's cooling system is not good. The hot air through the radiator etc has no where to exit. A better radiator, thermal pellet, cat back, different pullies, themostat setup and large fender well vents should really help. Hope to see some good setups at the meet and talk with the rotor heads about making the motor more durable. Is this just a one day afternoon meet or is there a second day.....Chuck Ph 386 255 2075 |

Hey Chuck! I'm in Jacksonville, just a few minutes north of you. If you ever want to get together i'm willing to help out whenever I have a free weekend. There are a few dedicated RX8 people up here that would be willing to help out and spend a day working on your car with you.
I'm busy this weekend on account of working, but let me know like a week or two in advance and i'd be more than happy to gather the guys and we can hang out in the garage and what not And there's nothing wrong with your age. In my opinion, you're 74 years young You just missed a very large Mazda car show at a local Mazda dealership here in town (Mazda City on Blanding Blvd). Met a lot of nice people there! |
