Default FC FPR and block off question

I have a 90 FC3CTII European convertible wich I am doing emission removal on.
I then observed that my FPR has 2 vacuum nipples. Anyone seen that before and know where i should connect them when removing the solenoid rack? I have also removed a "thing" on the UIM I dont know what is and hope someone could tell me. I guess it has something to do with the EGR system? Can I just block it off? Look at the attached photos.

After some research i found out what the "thing" was. It is the Air Supply Valve. Does anyone with power steering have experience with this removed?

I do. As long as you still have a functioning BAC valve (= Bypass Air Control valve, that's the one that tweaks idle speed to deal with engine loads), you won't miss the ASV. The ASV is just a on/off solenoid valve that works in parallel with the BAC to allow a little more air past the throttle plates briefly when the A/C clutch kicks on or when you cut the steering wheel to full lock with PS.

In my case, the ASV is still physically installed on the car, but the electrical connector is broken so it's non-functioning. When it fails like that, the valve stays closed (no extra air). My car is a US market '89 turbo.

As for that other thing with the 2 vacuum nipples, I'm not sure what that is. If memory serves, the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) only has 1 vacuum nipple on the US spec S5 turbos. "49 state" US spec S5 turbos don't have EGR, so I can't comment on that.

Thanks for the reply, that was what i figured out to, so i`ll just ditch the asv.
What remains now is the FPR with 2 vacuum nipples, anyone know why there are two?
