new battery and catch can issues
Hey guys been a busy few weeks, ive had to replace my battery and got my catch can installed. Before the other battery sent the car was running and idling fine, after the battery and can install the car idles higher...1000 rpm or so and is running hotter then normal. Now I am still using the stock gauge so im not sure how much hotter but I can tell the difference. The guy who helped run the catch can had me hook up to the filler neck and the and a vac nippleright behind the alernator. From what I can see the P.O. removed the pcv So we took the line off the filler that ran to the charcoal Canister but left the fuel vent line attached to keep the gas smell down. This caused much more pressure to build in the gas tank then what im use to. My questions is what could make my car run hotter after the few changes, is the catch can hooked up right and why would unhooking the original line from the filler neck interfere with the gas tank venting? Thanks in advance!!!!

I figured out the idle issue. Turns out that the old battery didnt have the correct rating so now my car is running better then ever, and all signs point to the engine temple being the same but something still dosnt seem right...so I'll continue to look in that.
