Default Double Din Options

Hey Guys, just wondering what some of you who sealed your double din (where the radio is) used to do it, and maybe how.

I want put a gauge and some toggle switches there but Trying to figure out what Im going to use to cover the "square" hole.. It has to be something that can be modified to add more stuff I need to later on.

Is there something you can buy to fits right in, or is it all custom made?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I stuffed mine with a head unit and made the trim part around it with black plexiglass .You could use the same about 3/16 or 1/4 thick, can not remember and mount it in there so you can take it in and out as needed to add more gages or switches. Make a frame from sheet metal and mount it so the sheet of plexiglass can be mounted to the frame with some small black headed screws, then you can remove it and put it back .Cut and drill several peices so you can try several designs later as your needs change .I bought a small sheet at a plastic supplier in Nashville.

Thanks Garfinkles. My aim is to have a really clean look. Im trying to find if anyone makes a gauge pod that fits where the centre aircon vent is and leave din section for switches and boost controller.
