DGRR 2011 and the Mitty.. Sunday May 1st, 2011

I know some of you were upset that DGRR 2011 was on the same weekend as the Mitty... especially since Mazda is heading the Mitty and there will be several historical Mazda cars will be there..

Anyhow, I've finally worked out a solution for those attending DGRR and wanting to goto the Mitty 2011.

Pending number of cars, we will be getting a discount for those coming to DGRR and later going to the MITTY @ Road ATL.

Here is the discount (ONLY to those attending DGRR 2011 and registered)

20-49 attendees - $15 per person (normally $25 at the gate, $20 advance purchase)
50+ attendees - $10 per person

$10 for infield parking per car - This is charged by Road Atlanta and also to park with other Mazda Car owners.

I need to know the number of people going asap. Please put your name on here if you are interested in leaving NVNC early Sunday morning to head down to Road ATL for the world record breaking parade lap that starts at 10AM.

I think we could get 50 people... So, let start the list!
Once your SN is on, you will be cross referenced to the DGRR 2011 master list and detail information about how to purchase your Sunday, the Mitty ticket will be emailed or PM'd to you.

SN and the car you are bringing... (number of tickets)
1. Herblenny - 1991 Eunos Cosmo 3 Rotor (2 people - 2 tickets and 1 infield parking pass)

I had been holding off on buying a Mitty ticket for just this reason. I know at least one of the people coming with me plans to go as well.

SN and the car you are bringing.
1. Herblenny - 1991 Eunos Cosmo 3 Rotor
2. Redshft / PinkRacer - 2004 RX8
3. CorgiSteve - 1984 RX7 GSL-SE

*Edit in an effort not to clutter up the thread with conversation other than signing up, but, is there a parade laps of the track option for Sunday as well?

Hmmm, sounds like a great idea... Before I commit, I'll need to take another day off (Tuesday - need a recovery day, for me and the FC!), and will need to find a place to stay near Road ATL Sunday night. If both can be done (highly likely) count me in.

Couple of quick questions:
1. Location of Road ATL (so I can search for hotels nearby or on the way home)
2. How much $ are the infield parking passes, and how do I get one?

OK guys..

Looks like there is yet another issue with the Mitty... and getting quite frustrating.

They are now telling me that if you want to park with the Mazda group infield, you need to buy $10 infield pass.

So, I need to know who's going to park infield and such..

Again.. its $10 to $15 per person for a ticket into the Road ATL, additional $10 per car to park with other Mazda vehicles infield.. I was told NOT on the grass.. but I'll confirm this again as couple of things I was told is now becoming unclear.

OK.. we are going to send out a mass email to all the registered DGRR attendees.

By end of next week, we have less than 50 who's interested in going, I am not going to deal with this headache to goto the Mitty.

So, lets see if we could get 50 interested....
