"Additional" Lodging options for DGRR
Hi All,
My wife and I had one of the cabins there at Natahaalalal year before last, and it was really nice. We tried to get one a couple months back right after registration opened and only a couple extremely expensive ones were available. Well I called yesterday, and found out a lot of good info if you are interested in a cabin rental. There are two different places that have at least 5 cabin rentals that are open the weekend of DGRR. Great Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals, I spoke with Janet, she was very helpful. Yellow Rose Realty, I spoke with Megan, she too was very helpful. First is called Mountain Pearl. It has a pool table, 2 bedrooms, extra sleeping in the game room. King and Queen beds.. master br has its own bathroom. http://www.greatsmokyscabinrentals.c...geDataID=35242 its 698.28 Second is called Big Timber Lodge. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. King Queen Queen and a sleeper sofa. http://www.greatsmokyscabinrentals.c...geDataID=35889 its 675.46 Third is called Smoke Rise 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 6-8 pet friendly. King, Queen and sleeper sofa, bunk beds. http://www.greatsmokyscabinrentals.c...geDataID=35263 its 709.69 Fourth is called Whisper Creek. It is a Two level house.. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and jacuzzi and a stream in the back of the place with small waterfall like stuff going on. Its pet friendly http://www.yellowroserealty.com/rent...php?number=510 its 581.44 Hope these help.. they have a lot of cabins in the two places.. so hopefulyl that will give options to everyone. The prices are a little higher, but if you have a couple people all pitch in, it gets affordable.

These are the guys I used last year. Very nice cabin (very, very nice), and the pricing was great. I was about 10 minutes from Nantahala.
Looks like I'll be at the Mitty this year, so have at it. .
