Default Stock BOV shot?

Hey guys. What would be some symptoms of the stock BOV going bad? Was driving to work the other day & the rubber hose from the turbo/intercooler pipe going to the BOV cracked & of course the car started to idle erraticly till it shut off. Got her back started & limped her back home a few miles away. I replaced the hose with a new one & tried driving her, but to no avail. The car is tuned to 12lbs & now will hardly hit 9. Also when it hits boost, @ about 4k the car just hits a wall. I am thinking that the BOV is shot and just allowing so much air to be recirced, that it hits the flapper door in the AFM & I guess allows it to run abnormally rich? Mods are full 3" exhaust, K&N intake, FCD, all emissions removed & manual boost controller. She will start right up & hold perfect idle. Thanks.

-Sheldon.

Lol, and I'm the one who breaks cars.

It does sound something is leaking like hell. Don't you have another BOV sitting around you were going to install?

you could... block off the bov temporarily and do a test run. I just wouldn't keep it like that for too long.

make sure you don't have any other vacuum leaks, too.
