The Newbie
|
hi everyone!
Hey peeps! am from Malaysia and i got to admit that my English are pretty weak(Help!)... but hey am here to learn ite?.. moreover i am here to learn about my sexy foxy.. she's a series one with the heart of a 13bt s4 mainly stock except for suspension system, exhaust system(after the header), and axle. I got a question stuck in mah head fer some time.. which is better the S4 or S5? see i had both of this Series at onetime (turbo ver.).. and it makes me confuse.. I just love the light response of the S5(in a series 2 shell) but then again the series 4 makes me feel like i am in the real rotary powered car ... the S4 is a little bit slow in the beginning but when the power comes its way right up to 8k... on the other hand the power of the s5 ends at about 7.1-7.2Rpm. why is that? and whut will happen if i change my S4 engine turbine to the S5 turbine? will it be durable and faster?
Thank you for reading.. |

The quest for more torque
|
Most would argue that the S5 is better. I have only had S4 4-ports myself, so I can't say.
S5 turbo engines should pull harder all the way to the rev limiter - the rotors are lighter, the ECU is newer (faster processor), the turbo will supply more air and the spark plugs are more ideally located. I can't speak from experience, as I really have no experience with S5 4-port engines, I like my S4 4-ports just fine.
