You can buy block off plates for the air pump from Mazdatrix/Racing Beat. The last header that I bought can with the block off plates and all instructions that you need.
For best results go with a complete exhaust system, from header to muffler.

As long as you're getting rid of the cats, just ditch the air pump and strip all the emissions stuff. There are writeups for how to do all that, but I don't think there are any on this forum, unfortunately. Then have an O2 sensor bung welded into your new exhaust and pick up an aftermarket wideband controller. Most if not all of them use a Bosch LSU 4.2 O2 sensor.
