Electrical question
The car I just bought has has a battery that's too tall and the negative post has touched the hood. Since the car has been sitting for a long time the battery connector and the hood have corroded quite a bit. While going through the car I've noticed that several connectors show the blueish corrosion crap and the cable disconnected for example a blue cable with a red stripe under the driver's side storage compartment. It was sitting on the floor and when I went to pick it up the molex connector was stuck on the floor and the cable was just hanging there(never mind that I still don't know where it was supposed to be connected, possibly the door ajar switch). Is it possible that I may have some hidden damage due to this grounding or are the other cables just a coincidence?
Thanks, Hector |

the neg hitting the hood won't do anything, your negative terminal hooks to a wire that goes right to the frame so you are just making a short cut- now don't put the battery in facing the wrong way and close the hood on the positive

Or get the proper size battery, 24 series. And have a battery holddown. LR - blue/red under the dash, Stereo/radio. Rear hatch, full door release.
Only connectors under the LS compartment are for stereo amp, fuel pump, cruise control unit. Door switch wires are RY red/yellow. |
