Project X605
This is my recently purchased '85 FB. It's been sitting for quite a few years and hasn't been started in at least 2, maybe 3 years. Price was reasonable and the body looks great. Now it's a matter of cleaning it up and see if the beast will start.

After looking the car over I'm going to work on things as time, tools and money allow so I'm going to take pictures as things get disassembled but won't post updates until a section or particular job is finished. So far I'm cleaning it(which is involving removal of door panels, trim and upholstery bits) and getting the gas tank replaced.

Cowl area cleaning and windshield wiper assembly paint.
Since this car sat for so long with a tree nearby there is a lot of debris in all the cracks, nooks and crannies. Before trying to wash the car I've decided to work on removing all that stuff. The wiper arm assembly came from a blue car so I figured I'd try my hand at painting. When I tried disconnecting the wiper motor the connector fell apart from rotting. I went to Radio Shack and picked up a 6 wire power connector and joined the two into one. I also applied some Liquid Tape to the back sides of the connectors. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
