Default Black dragon out of the 2nd gen part business

I just recently called Black Dragon, because I was trying to look at their online catalog for parts for my second gen. The lady stated that for the spring catalog they are not putting the 2nd gen and the rx8 catalog out. They are only producing 1st gen catalogs are and she is unsure if they will be bringing back the 2nd gen and rx-8 catalog. I personally find this to be disappointing considering their wide range of availability on parts for my car. Just thought I would give all you a heads up.

My next question would have been "What are you doing with the old stock?".

^That's what I was wondering. They might as well sell it to another company or something, or at least sell the rest at discounted prices and make some money.

Good question after getting off the phone with the lady we decided to take a part number from the 2010 Catalog that still has the FC and put the part number in the place my order section, it said in stock and allowed me to purchase it. So it looks like if you have a older catalog it will still allow you to purchase parts if they have it in stock but you must have a catalog with part number because there is no way to search the online catalog for it.

I still have mine, but all parts can still be had from Mazdaspeed if you have an account. That may be why they're not making much for 2nd gens...

I think they are scaling back on catalogs as part of this. I just got a BD
catalog for what I thought would be Rx7 stuff, but the catalog is split 50/50
between Datsun Z parts and Mazda Rx7 parts. I know I asked for the Rx7
only catalog but this is what got sent. So it looks like the economy is hitting
BD just as hard as the rest of us and they are scaling back on the catalogs.

BTW, the 7 parts only covered 79-85, so no 2G stuff in there at all.

I just looked online, and ya, it is 50/50 for Z and 1st gen stuff. That is a bummer, since I used them alot and I picked up a Vert that I am trying to fix up. Will have to check some of my older mags and get to ordering. I noticed they are out of the 3rd gen business as well.

^They never really had much of what I needed for the FD anyway. I haven't even started building my FC and FB yet, this just sucks.

Default need BD part #'s

Hey, d u think you could give me 2nd gen Bd part numbers? For heavy duty lighting wireing harness, Black caliper paint and the sound proof matting. This would be greatly appreciated, since my bag was recently stolen with my Black Dragon catolog in it.

I don't think they went out of business. I think they just pulled the mags under and combined them. Here look at the link. http://www.blackdragonauto.com/icatalog/zr/t.aspx
