ignitors 4sale?
I am lookin for a lead ignitor off a 12a distributor. it doesnt have 2 be good bc i'll be guttin it anyway. Cheaper da better. So if any1 has something plz PM me, Thanks.

I have one 13B GSLSE 85 With module and cap $100. One 12A GSL 85 with module and cap $100. One 12A early with cap and this one does not use module inside . Must use a out side module. $80. And I have a few more parts. 12A and 13B complete but dessamble engines for sale. Housing, rotors, side housing crank shaft, starters, and a new fuel ingection fuel pump for a 13B GSLSE 1985 for sale. All parts in exelent conditions.

You don't need to gut an ignitor. Posting that picture was a stupid idea back in '04. Oh well. All you need to do is file down a couple of male quick disconnects until they fit snug. Never had one fall out. I don't gut ignitors anymore. No need to.

i just need an ignitor 2 gut so i can make it into a plug so i can run direct fire on the lead plugs.....check this. its wut i'm doin it also shows wut i'm needing looks like

Yes, we know exactly what you are trying to do.
Listen to Jeff20b, he is one of the guys that pioneered all of this stuff. You don't need to gut an ignitor, better ways of doing this have been found over the years. He is talking about a picture that he posted when he first started working on this stuff, and used old ignitors to make the connections. Now, everybody does exactly what he has advised you to do. Simpler, cleaner, better. .

The picture he is referring to was simply a shot of a gutted ignitor. Just get some male ends, clamp them on to the wire, then trim them down to fit the tab that they plug into. Overall, a much cleaner/simpler installation and you avoid the need to destroy an ignitor.
If you search (here or on "another" forum) you will find all of the information you will ever need to do this mod. Good luck, and you will be very happy with the results. Great mod! |
