fc year identification
ive been tryn 2 determin the year of my fc, i have found that this can be done by refering the last digit of the vin num
G=1986 H=1987 J=1988 K=1989 L=1990 M=1991 but mine ends with a 1, anyone have any ideas why this is??? |

Are you sure you're looking in the right place? Both my cars are '86s and have a G in the 10th digit place, followed by 7 numbers (serial number I guess). I don't have any other year cars to refer to at the moment, but I bet the 10th place is where you should check.

Ah, I see. Well, it's definitely 86-88 . Are the door stickers intact?

The vin number checks you're finding are for usdm cars, I'm pretty sure that for all other countries I'm almost positive that the vins read differently. This may be a stupid question but don't you have the title? What's it say lol.

Why don't you post your entire VIN so that we can figure it out?
Aren't you the one that asked earlier? If so, wasn't it deducted that it was a 1986 model cause of the really low serial #? -Ted |
