Prosport Gauges?
Who has them and how do they like them?
I'm reading the reviews on them and some of them seem to have problems with quality and accuracy. I'm curious because I am thinking I'll be unloading a fair amount of cash pretty soon for a set, and i'd like to have peoples opinion on them before I buy them. If worse comes to worse I may have to just save and buy a digital dash, though I really don't want to.

i have the boost, water temp, egt, oil pressure, and oil temp. i like em IMO. i heard that the needle does not stay on 0 but i guess i was the lucky ones. they also have good customer service so if your gauge is defected they will replace it. these are a step down from the defi.

Oil temp and pressure here.
I thought somethign was wrong with them when I got them because in the boxes the needles pointed to arbitrary numbers.......but once they powered up they were fine. Work great, awesome peak/hold warning features and affordable. |

I like my own pair of Prosport gauges (see thread in this section for what I did with them.) The needles point at 0 when off and seem to be working just fine for me, and I have the oil temp and pressure gauges as well.

agree with all of the above. They back their product which is a big deal to me. I guess everyone has seen their new center speaker gauge pod as well. If not:

ya i have a couple only using the boost and EGT right now fuel will come soon. as far as how the gauges are in my opinion you get what you pay for, but thier customer service is A++. my boost gauge is off by varing amounts dependent on ambient temp it seems anywhere from 0-1.5 psi. the EGT gauge works it takes a min to warm up the sensor and the response isnt instant but then im compairing it to aircraft EGT speed too so ???? these vehicle egt's may just be slower cause of the type of sensors maybe a different sensor would be faster. btu they work and do thier job without breaking the bank

However I'm not sure exactly how long your gauge is taking to respond, even a closed type probe should closely follow the engine's condition, roughly 1-3seconds behind..... Quote:

Yep I'm dropping the dough on these bad boys along with their center gauge pod. F those retards trying to get 450 dollars for the flyrx7 center pods.
They look great and everyone I've spoken to has been happy with the product. |

Is it true that you now have an affordable wideband gauge? I have an LC-1 and don't want to pay the $220 for the XD-16. I assume it accepts the 0-5v signal from one of the analog outputs.

Someone mentioned to me your EGT gauge's have a 0-5v output for datalogging. I wasn't aware that they have this feature (unless he's wrong) but could you enlighten us? Your site doesn't seem to indicate taht they do. |

AFR gauge- Yes our stand alone digital AFR gauge for $65 does read 0-5 volt, so if you already have the LC1 it will read from the output signal and work.
EGT gauge: No, it cannot datalog. The premium series (peak/warn) can recall the highest level attained and fully programmable warning buit into the gauge but no datalogging. |
