Default 2009+ ???

Hey guys.. Im looking into possibly getting a 2009 or newer 8. Im just looking for opinions on what a reasonable price range is (ive looked around on the net for some and most people/places are asking quite a bit more than book price) and what some common issues if any come with the car. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would skip em until they are broken and snag them on the cheap. I think we just had an ad for 40k for a 09.

Buy a Mazda 2 and get your 7.

I think a RX8 would make a great daily if you keep it maintained and were OK with 18-22mpg

I bought a Series 2 and got a GT model for $12000 with 36K on the odo (the car was well cared for by the original owner). I had to travel to buy it on the E Coast. The only watch out is the Series 2 (S2) model is S2 specific parts that are not interchangeable with the S1 (2004-2008). The improvements on the S2 outweighed the S1's available parts and farkles.

only if you drive it on the highway, i get about 15 with mixed city/highway. don't even ask if it is strictly city mileage.

even a 2009 i wouldn't consider paying more than $10k for in near mint condition, they will just continue to depreciate in value regardless of the S2 being more reliable. that said, good luck finding one for an affordable price, people don't like taking the hit on a new car purchase.
