Hey all,

My name is Kyle and I just bought a 87 T2 that should arrive at my house sometime this next week and i should be getting the motor sometime shortly after.

This is my first rotary car, but I've messed with cars for a long time. I had an 87 starion that I built the motor, an 86 starion with a megasquirt 2 setup, couple motorcycles, lots of stuff. I work at a dealership and am constantly around cars.

The Fc I just bought was in pieces... in the middle of a Haltech install. Its the E6X. I've built and installed a few Megasquirt setups and garage tuned many more. Can someone advise me on the E6X? should I use it? it seems like a really old computer.

The motor is coming from Tennessee and everything has been gone through, gaskets and O-rings replaced. The previous owner was a member on here and has been very helpful on advising me. Been debating on buying this thing for a couple months. Heres a few pics! Its currently in a couple hundred pieces in his garage.

Welcome. As far as the E6 Haltech it depends on where you want to go with the car. It is kind of dated, but if you're not going wild with the engine build it should work fine. It's better than some of the ECUs out there. We have some people here that are very knowledgeable about them. You'll get less hate mail from some quarters with the E6X than a MegaSquirt or MicroTech.
