Default 17x9 +24 front 17x10.5 +20 rears.

I am looking at a set of these wheels, but I am not sure how they would fit. Anybody have any idea? I figure the rears would need a roll and pull atleast.

Assume this is for an FC?
(I read your Introduce Yourself! posting.)

This all depends on the tire size...
Manufacturer recommended tire sizes will not fit under stock FC fenders.
Hippari stretch can fit depending on how extreme you want it.

With recommended tire size do you know how much I would be poking? If its not a huge deal I could roll and pull the quarters to fit it and hopefully get it low still

what size tire are you looking for?

you can run 235/255 on that setup with roll and a little pull.

275s in the rear require a more srs pull, but theres plenty of people who have done it.

just looking at the offset I wasnt sure I have no idea about it to be honest. I dont know if I am going to need spacers to keep it off the coils or what. Guess I will just order the wheels and see what needs to be done.

Actually, after thinking about it again, I was a little off on the math...
The fronts are too tight in my book.
I would like to have 9.0" wide up front at least +20 or less - I would be more comfortable with a 9.0", +15 up front.
The 9.0" can easily take a 255 / 40 / 17, no problem, but no way that will fit up front under stock fenders.

The rears are fine in terms of clearance inside.
It's a matter of if it's going to hit the fender lip.
10.5" can easily support a 275 wide tire, but that's way too wide to fit under stock (rear) fenders.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but there's really no reason to run that wide wheels under an FC.
A 8.0" front and 9.0" is usually more tire (assuming 235 front and 255 rear) that most FC's need in terms of traction.

Alright thats what I was looking for thanks, I just found some wheels local that were those width and offset and was wondering if it could work. but I am gonna keep looking.

17x9 +24 is pretty common with coilover guys (derp mustang wheels). yah its very close to the coilovers, but is known to fit with tein and stance. i dunno what else.

255 is fittable under stock (rolled, slight pull) front fenders, but you'd have to run a narrower wheel and higher offset. Blue_TII did it a while ago without mangling his fenders. MaczPayne runs 255's up front on 17x9 +24, but i think his pull is noticable. prolly cuz he didnt care lol

the nice thing about that 9/10 setup is you have room to grow if you decide to get serious with your fenders/tire.

And plenty of room to boot. I've got a set of Work VSXX 17x8 +35 in the front and 17x9+35 in the rear wrapped with Dulop Direzza Z1SS's in a 235/40 F and 255/40 rear. The tires seem narrow on the rims.... I'm going to take a few measurements and see if I can squeeze a 255/275 combo on those rims under stock fenders. If I need to roll some lips, I'm ok with that in the front but would have to think long and hard about doing that in the rear

actually the fronts are the ones you should worry about... rears are easy to roll nicely, but the front sheet metal is so thin its pretty hard to get it right. they flex quite a bit and just go back to the way they were.

just get you some shine fenders

Thought about it... might do it. My concern is, if I fuck up the front fenders, I can repaint them in a day... they actually need it anyway. If I fuck up the paint in the rear, it's a completely different story. There actually are 3 area's on the body itself that I want to address... I dunno... maybe next winter I'll take a few weeks and prep the car, roll the fenders and fix the area's that piss me off.

Some coilover systems can adjust the lower perch so that it clears the wheel lip / tire.
In which case, you'd get the added clearance.
I dunno what the OP was using?
If you're using stock-type struts / springs or similar, you cannot do this.

A 17" x 9.0", +24 will hit the lower perch / spring on a stock-type strut / spring.
If you're running either the Tein S-Tech or Tanabe GF210 springs, you're going to even have worse clearance problems.

Precisely. There's only a smidge of room with +24 up front, and for some, that may be too close. Just a slightly loose wheel bearing will get you some rash on the wheel.

EDIT: just realized this is for an FC. fail on my part for not reading the rest of the thread. Anywho, I'll leave it up for others' reference.


can be done with the right settings. This car is from the SSR web galley

17x9.5 +18 5mm spacer added so +13 when taken into account), 17x9.5 +5



here's mine.
18x9 +29, 18x10 +24 with natural camber lowered about 1.25". fenders rolled
