info on Rx4 bellhousing
anyone know if an rx4 bellhousing and a later turbo bellhousing are similar enough to be interchangeable?

I was under the impression that all rotary endplate irons were the same (with maybe the exception of the 10A).
What matters is that you use the flywheel, clutch kit, trans and starter from the same 'generation'. But I'm a noob.

well both the rx4 and turbo transmissions are supposedly "r" types which have removable bellhousings. I know the pattern to bolt to the engine is the same but i think the actual transmission flange patterns are the same. What im curious about is the length of the bell housings.

I've used both bolted to a T5 transmission adapter for my dyno, and as far as I know they're interchangeable, but it'd be worth a look at the clutch fork and hydraulics to make sure, as I didn't use any of that.

im not concerned about which flywheel i have to use, i just want the T5 behind my 13b. Running a turbo flywheel is of no concern.
