I belive it will if you butcher it a little. I made an S4 KOYO fit on my S5 but I had to drill an extra hole, and it's only mounted with 3 bolts. Switching the mounts does NOT work, they dont fit.
To answer your question, get a BFH!

S5 radiator into an S4 will work.
You just end up with two radiator fill caps. S4 radiator into an S5 doesn't...well... The S5 engine does not have a cap on the thermostat cover. The S5 radiator, thus, uses the radiator cap / fill on the radiator itself for this function. Some S4 radiators do have a radiator cap, but it's not located at the highest point of the cooling system. This is why the S5 radiator has the radiator cap / fill located up high (above the battery). If you so use an S4 with radiator cap on an S5 engine, then you can still get air bubbles trapped in the thermostat cover - the highest point of the cooling system. -Ted |

maybe twas because of the KOYO's higher capacity, but once I burped the system with the bleed screw on the upper radiator hose inlet, I didn't have a problem with it. MY biggest problem was mounting and getting it to bolt in, not air bubbles like I thought it would be.
A good trick is to take of the hose going to the Throttle Body from the rear iron, that lets the system expell most of the air and fill up better w/o having to burp the coolant as much.

My S5 radiator is leaking!
hey, I have a similar situation.
My S5 radiator is now leaking around the top passenger side of it. Im thinking about my options. 1. Swap with S4 radiator. (I have one.) 2. Buy a new S5 radiator from a parts store like AdvancedAuto. (How much would this be?) 3. Upgrade to a koyo. (I know this will be expensive.) For now Im thinking of going with #1. Ive looked over the differences, it would be a frankenstein system but I think it might work. But I wouldn't have a cap at all. My S4 radiator doesn't come with a cap. It dose have a sensor and overflow tube coming out from the top thats unscrew-able. That would be my point of fill up. I would also fill it up by taking off the upper hose at the thermostat, just to be sure. Ill still have the S5 overflow tank. Think that might work until I get another S5 radiator? Will not having a cap be such a problem? lol.

So Ive researched some stores for radiators...
Advanced - $285 O'Reilly's - $229 (but no warehouse has it.) Autozone - $269 It seems for around 50 bucks more I could get a good performance radiator. |

Hurry and find something! I think my Vert's radiator is starting to leak up top somewhere it looks like.

Holy $@##*$! Yeah that's a problem. I think mine is starting to seep out somewhere along the top section. Haven't been able to trace it down since it doesn't do it all the time. It's weird, I have come out a couple of mornings and started the car and buzzer/light goes off. Check it and sure enough it's low. No leaks puddles or anything. No funky smell to the exhaust, plugs look fine. Then one day last week I found a puddle under it one afternoon and found coolant along the seams on top of the radiator. Captain I think she's gonna blow!

lol.
I haven't looked under the hood for a couple weeks. So I finally do to check things out, thats what I find. So not sure how long its been like that. Also my coolant reservoir was near empty. |
