resurface and harden/heat treat the irons what your take on this?
Just looking into a few things and reading up about rebuilds
Can someone explain this to me? is this for the rotor housings? or the actualy rotors? resurface and harden/heat treat the irons, is a good process to undertake when rebuilding an engine.? What are the pros and cons for doing this? |

its for the side plates front, middle, rear. the rotor housings get something diferent usually refered to ceremet coating. but the regrind and renitriting is for plates that are out of spec and you just dont want new or good used ones. such as the 12a's that are nolonger being made.
Good process to do? only if you need it because your plates are out of spec. im sure others can comment on prices iv never done it to be able to tell you if its even a financial option. z |
