Get Banzai's Poly mounts for the engine and trans. Use RTV to seal the pan.
Done!

I would suggest OEM or Mazda comp motor mounts bought through your local dealer (unsure if they sell the comp mounts). The aftermarket motor mounts aren't as good and are not designed as well. If I recall correctly you have an N/A so there's no real reason for harder than stock mounts.

As for drifting, I suppose it would be easier if I could actually break traction at some point (on crappy Wal-Mart tires).

Hey, nothing wrong with shopping at Wal-Mart. Sure, it's pretty depressing to go to, but I can't say no to great prices and finding basically everything I need in one store.

Hey guys, I have the banzai mounts.
One thing I want to know about RTED'ed and a lot of other people's comments is this: have you people actually used the product? One little detail about the mounts, is that it's not just a bolt going through. The bolt threads through one of the metal rings, compressing the poly mount , and then you have the nut holding the mount. I'm NOT saying that people like RTed don't know their shit, but rather that what they are saying sounds like their "opinion" and perhaps they have not tried the actual product yet? There are a lot of people that run Banzai mounts, and I have not yet seen a thread stating any problems with them. If you see such a thread, please show it to me, because I spent hard earned money on mine.

No no, you're not crazy.
They have their purpose. I'm running MMR's (same design basically, just with harder material) and I can flat out tell you that the solid AL blocks I ran before easily made 50% more vibration in the cabin. My reason/need for going that route on my street car was keeping the engine in place. Sure there's other ways, but its my car damnit |
