Secondary throttle plates don't open all the way
I have my TB off the car at the moment, and I was playing around with it today and noticed that if I open it to WOT, the secondary plates don't look like they're rotated 90º relative to the closed position. I reached in and I can move them the rest of the way by hand, but they spring back to being slightly off when I let go. Any input on this? I also have done the TB mod so I have no thermowax or any of it's associated hardware.
EDIT: The primary opens fine (90º from closed)

Well I did some searching, and apparently this is normal.

I added some weld material on the linkage that pushes the secondary plates so that they would start opening sooner, and open all the way. I'm not sure if that's the standard method of fixing it or not, just what I came up with one night.

why not just get rid of the secondary plates like the TB mod suggests. I did this and my car seems to breathe better.

lol, I fubared my TB after I did the throttle body mod... so I had to get another. Now, I'm weary of doing it again...
PS: I heard of doing the tb mod where you remove the seconday plates, the rod, and the vaccum diaphragm, but leave the thermowax in. This allows the car to idle when it's cold...

Just to clear it up, by secondary I meant the other main 2, not the ones that you get rid of with the throttle body mod.
