Default 1987 Turbo II - starts then dies

as of this morning, i now have this problem...

car was cold. Would start for a sec. Then as it rev'ed up alittle it would flat die like the ign. cut out (not like it stumbling and dying)

sooo. thoughts while i search?

its not a stumble out die its a rev up to 3000 (by my foot since i have no cold start) and then the tach just dies and you hear the engine whine down.

being a turbo car.. I just wonder if it is a coupler that has come loose and giving you a vac leak.. if thats the case and the leak is big enough it wont idle at all.

and.......carbon killed the motor....

went to crank it and it spun as free as could be. Pulled the plugs and things are real low on compression. (lots of weak puffs, one good puff).

soo....thats that.

but on the brightside, i might be moving into a house soon!

let some atf sit in that biotch overnight.

also try jumpering the plug by the AFM for the fuel pump power.
