How low should I go?
So I'm thinking about how low I should go on my FD.
Right now it looks like its a 4x4. lol and I kinda wanna just drop the bitch 2.5 inches, but I'm wondering how that would look... anyone got any pics of low rx7's? I searched.. but came up with a minimal amount of pictures.. Last edited by IbanezFreak87; 09-29-2008 at 09:35 PM.. |

2.5 is kinda extreme. Lowering it too low will make the car handle like ass

just throw some koni's or tokico's on with either some H&R Springs or Eibach Springs. It will lower it about an inch and improve handling... whether you track it or not. This is not the car to "slam". There have been plenty of people over the years that have lowered their FD too much and rubbed through the fender liner and wiring and gave the car quite a few issues. Also, you are going to drag your shit all over the place. If you just worked several 50 hour weeks to get a new clutch, plan on working alot more once you rip the sway bar off, bang up the exhaust, tranny, and engine as well. Here is what mine looks like when it had Tokico's and Eibach's:

That is what i call low. Race, or street, i like my cars slammed. Like said about you will rub if you don't have your fenders pulled and rolled. Also you need the right alignment parts to do it. You will bang up the exhaust a little. That being said, for me, i don't mind all that. Scraping a little is fun too. (I scrape the exhaust on my 32 when i go over some speed bumps LOL!) How low you want to go depends on wheel size, what suspension, alignment parts to do you have (to handle the lowness), how much of a stretch you have on the tire, if any etc... Too many variables. I went full rotard.

Yeah, we actually just had to solder about 15 wires in my buddy's harness because the previous owner dropped the car miserably AND put it on 19's...Ate up the harness a little I'd say...
