Default Squeeky Clutch MC

Quick question: I have a squeeky clutch MC (it's brand new. Less than a month old) and it's dragging on my nerves. I am currently using DOT 3 in it, could I remedy the squeek, which sounds internal, by replacing that fluid with a DOT 4 or DOT 5 fluid instead?

Are you sure it is the piston in the master cylinder and not the clutch pedal assembly, or the rod contacting the dust boot? I would try to lube those first.

I'm about 98% sure it's in the cylinder. I'll check the other parts of the assembly first and lube 'em up. Is it just White Lith on it, or should it be something else like silicon spray?

The linkage in the cabin perhaps?

Its extremely unlikely for it to sqeuak if its not malfunctioning....and given what it is, its unlikely it'll make any noise at all actually.

Also check where the slave and cltuch fork meet, thats a likely area to get dried out and require some lube.

Ahem.

And yes, white lithium is fine, but be careful, that shit is hard to clean up.

Alright... So... Let's say it's the linkage, I need to lube the internal portion of the cylinder/rod (the part that goes into the cylinder) and the hinge of it? As for the fork. Nah-uh. I'm not hearing the squeek from the fork, it's definatly inside the cabin.

You might as well lube it all. Considering it probably has not been done since the car was made.

Actually just did that. My friends house didn't have any lithium grease so I just ended up using some silicon spray and it doesjn't seem to be making the noise anymore. Thanks
