Puslastion damper/banjo bolt mod
ok. Im not ready (fund wise) to upgrade to full stainless braided fuel system. I dont want to risk blowing my dampner either. So, what size/where can I find a banjo bolt to replace my damper?
Please, damper lovers, dont bash and say what a bad Idea blah blah blah, just keep your opinion to yourself. |

I took a banjo bolt from a spare S4 NA rail -- not sure if it was primary or secondary. It stuck out about 1/4" so I shortened the bolt with a bench grinder.
Good thing I tested with the spare primary rail: I kept wrenching the banjo bolt until it split. Whoops. |

buy a spare and repair when it leaks? Do an inspection after every track event and stay on top of it. Be prepared but don't do unnecessary work.

The season is half over, and Im just getting into it. I am going to do the Banjo bolt to finish the rest of the season, then do a complete braided setup with an FPR when I redo the car over the winter.

ok. Get the old PD pressure tested (if it's not expensive) when you're done to see how it's been holding up all these years.
