Corksport Exhaust
So Ive been looking at getting an exhaust recently and was considering one of the Corksport Catback systems. Has anyone run one of these with no other exhaust modifications, and if so how did it perform, both power and sound wise? Ive read some reviews of it but everything I could find was with some sort of header/presilencer combo as well so Im curious to know what just the catback will be like.

I have it. Not sure what the power increase is, probably just a few hp like every other stock catback. The biggest problem I have is sound. Its way way way too loud. I even installed a second muffler in place of the cat, and that didn't help much. Save up and buy the racing beat, worth it in the end.

From what I've read on the forums, rotaries LOVE a free flowing exhaust. Plus if you've picked up a stock exhaust they weigh a figurative ton.
Yes, it's very very loud. Austin hosts the Republic of Texas motorcycle rally (60,000 unmuffled Harleys) so the cops don't seem to worry about noise. Probably a huge considerations in other places though. My son was 18 when we installed the CS catback (Tii with Rotary Performance downpipe and Bonez cat) and he complained it was way too loud. He race micro sprints in his mid-teens so it wasnt like he's a milquetoast Camry driver. I put a Vibrant UltraQuiet resonator right before the muffler and now its just very loud. But he would still like it to be quieter. Though not enough to spend his own money!

Another cat-back option to consider for the FC is the Borla system. It's a dual system, and its constructed entirely of SS. I've had the Borla system on my T2 since 2000, and it still looks like new. Sounds very similar to the RB catback system; has that nice deep baritone rumble but not too loud. Even after I ditched the cat & replaced it with the RB down pipe & pre-silencer combo it sounds about the same.

i also had this on my fc and liked it a lot. it has a unique sound, but it doesn't sound anything like the rb exhaust, in my opinion. if you can afford it,get the racing beat dual.
