FC FPR and block off question
I have a 90 FC3CTII European convertible wich I am doing emission removal on.
I then observed that my FPR has 2 vacuum nipples. Anyone seen that before and know where i should connect them when removing the solenoid rack? I have also removed a "thing" on the UIM I dont know what is and hope someone could tell me. I guess it has something to do with the EGR system? Can I just block it off? Look at the attached photos. FPR EGR valve? |

In my case, the ASV is still physically installed on the car, but the electrical connector is broken so it's non-functioning. When it fails like that, the valve stays closed (no extra air). My car is a US market '89 turbo. As for that other thing with the 2 vacuum nipples, I'm not sure what that is. If memory serves, the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) only has 1 vacuum nipple on the US spec S5 turbos. "49 state" US spec S5 turbos don't have EGR, so I can't comment on that.
