Default New to rotary from PNW

Been spending some time lurking through the forums for a while, tired of the new to the website banner so decided to make my first post. Of all of the rotary sites on the web this one is by far the most well put together and user friendly, major kudos to the creators and avid members.

Now to the car stuff. Just picked up an 82 rx7 a couple of months ago, guy I bought it from was a crook, and ton the first drive home it blew a hose and overheated. towed it to a buddys and replaced the hose, that's when I noticed the water pump was leaking, so I replaced that, car was still running hot, fan clutch was shot, so I replaced that with a metal flex fan, loud but effective. Next on the list was a new clutch slave cylinder, at this point I'm waiting for the money to do a carb rebuild and a new clutch.

So far the car has been a lot of work, but it is one of the most fun to drive vehicles that I've ever had the joy of driving. Glad to be a new member.

Welcome. Don't get discouraged as so many do. There has been a lot of BS about rotaries spread around for years by people that don't want to learn anything new. They are a very fun car, but they are getting old and will require some TLC like any older hobby car. Especially when they were mistreated in their previous life by people that didn't perform proper maintenance.

Thanks for all the support. I will admit I was pretty discouraged when it overheated on me the day I got it. But the more research I do, the more motivation I have to turn my car into something that none of my friends have. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could get me a link to a good diagram for rats nest removal on the 12a. All the links I've found are broken.
