Cool FD3S-200228, My DriFD3Slut.

Well, ladies and gentlemen,
some of you, may have seen some of my "footage" from a single drift practice I have attended.
(It happened a long time ago, there are loads of photos also,.. over 900)
Driving an RX-7 as a "Daily Driver" is the stupidest thing I can do,
being a 22 year old male, with a shit job, and no home.
My loving family has offered me their 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE for $1,
for 6 months.
I have 6 months of winter to wait 'till I can safely drive the FD again.

My RX-7 is going to be turned from a "DD" to a "DS".

Currently I have 4 modifications, and only 2 are installed.
The Blitz NUR Spec catback exhaust, and HKS Turbo Timer are installed.
I have a Jacobs Power FC-1000, and Magnecore 10mm spark plug wires.

I don't know how to install the JPFC-1000, but I know someone who does.
Ignition is great and everything, but, should I save up some coin for an A'pexi Power FC, downpipe/midpipe combo, and a Petit intake system?
Are these "Good" or "Smart" modifications that I can do???
I am aware of reliability mods, and I plan on installing them,
when I am FORCED to rebuild.
When I do rebuild, I am going to import myself a JCESE, or JCES,
and rebuild the triple rotor, and install that, (if I can)

Since my RX-7 is now my drift slut, what other things should I keep in mind?

I understand that R32 suspension parts can be used to give a more aggressive steering set up, with the FD, can anyone fill me in a little more on that?

I am going to stop talking now, but, RCC my life has been going sideways for over a decade, now it's my turn to take control.
My FD makes my life worth living,
that and my amazing girlfriend, who I love.
I have been sober for 3 weeks, and in a relationship for 3 months.
I'm gettin' "better" and it's a result of discipline, and respect.

No more for me.

Thanks all!

the Vacuum line, to my MAP became detached while I was legally drifting.
my engine would not rev past 2500, and idled from 300-650 and was stalling.
Fortunately, I acquired a Zip-Tie.
I fixed a catastrophic engine failure, With a Zip-Tie.
JDM FTW.

I would start with reliability mods first. Maybe that will prolong the rebuild and you can save up some money in the mean time. You don't really NEED a Power FC until you do some more modding, but generally people mod downpipe, intake and catback before putting in the PFC.

I've never heard of using R32 suspension parts. You mean off the Skyline R32?? Even if they fit, I don't see why they would be any more aggressive than parts you can find that are made for the FD already.

And, you've been drifting since you were 12?

Actually, I started getting sideways when I was 17...
I don't EVER drift on public roads, for ANY reason. I like having a drivers license.
But, since I was 12, my life has been going sideways as a result of poor choices I was making, using drugs, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, having "sketchy" relationships with people, I could go on.
Ultimately, drifting and paintball are my two healthy releases right now.
Paintball kicks ass, but, drifting kicks way more ass.

The R32 suspension is something I heard about, from my local FD guru,
no great details were shared though, I will follow up with him.

My problem is this:
don't RX-7's have the 3 strikes rule?
3 mods, then your engine blows???
I have a cat back, and if I follow through with the DP/MP, Ignition, and Petit Intake, that's... 1,2,3,4... yes 4 mods. (counting the DP/MP at 1)
okay, so 5! I don't want my engine to blow just yet!

I thought the PFC was NEEDED after 3 modifications?
did I get fraudstered by the "other" forum?
