Nexen N3000 or General Exclaim UHP ???
I am in need of some tires for my FC. Is anyone running either of these tires? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I'm in need of 225/40/18 in the front and 255/35/18 in the rear. I will never buy Goodyear tires ever again, and I currently can not afford Michelins or Continental tires. I'm looking for an affordable set of tires that have symmetrical tread, Z+ rated, and will last a good while 30k plus? I'm shopping for champange with beer money. edit: Nitto NT555's are an option as well.

Not familiar with those two particular tires, but maybe Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31's or Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105's are an option for you.

I've ran the General Exclaims and liked them a lot. Offer plenty of grip in the wet or dry, and they wear fairly well too. I would also recommend checking out Sumitomo HTRzIII's. I have them on my TII now and so far really like them. VERY affordable considering what your getting.

I have the General UHPs on my DD speed6 now. So far they have two non-winter seasons (spring/summer/fall) on them. Im very happy with their performance. They are sticky, excellent in the wet, and they don't harden up like my old Kumhos did as they wear. I would say the UHPs are a great choice for low budget tire.

To be honest I work at a tire plant and the tire I saw that nexen sold a buddy of mine that drifts professionally scares me. The tread piece was not tacked properly then the curing process was not done at a high enough temperature to properly fuse all layers if a tire. I am not dissing any one just stating that the quality I would personnally use.

Temporarily insane.

On my trip back to Indiana from California I had to stop and get new tires along the way. I cheaped out and bought some Nexen's. Honestly, these are the worst tires I've ever used. Horrible grip, sidewall flex is horrendous (and I'm on 18 inch wheels). This is just from my personal experience, but I would and will never again buy this type of tire.

Been running the UHPs for over 2 years now for summer tire, and the winter exclaims aswell, (they wereon sale at crappy tire) I have had no issues with either these are on a integra DD, I have done a few track days with them too and was impressed with the overall goodness (is that a word) of the tires and the fair price they are....
I would not hesitate again to buy a full set.... Although for my FD it will be getting Star Specs .. J.
