Miata guy maybe rotary sw

Hello from Port Charlotte Fl.
I have been lurking for a while on this site. A friend, Raul from Orlando has been trying to convince me to swap a rotary into a Miata. I have swapped Ford V8s into them, but never a rotary. I'm thinking a '90 model Miata with about 300 whp if possible. any comments?
