Innovate LM-1
I have an Innovate LM-1 and for a while i couldn't figure out why the numbers (AFR's) it was giving me seemed way wrong for how the car was performing. So I finally opened it up, and right away i noticed one of the diodes were burnt out. So I'm going to go to radio shack to try and find a replacement. But its burnt out enough to where i can't tell what it is. I'm also pretty sure it didn't do any damage to the board, so if i replace the diode, my LM-1 should be as good as new.
I didn't know where else to place this, but I'm pretty sure this is one of the more popular sections. And there has to be at least one guy here using the LM-1. So if anyone could remove the four philips head screws and take a picture of diode in the slot C16, it would be much appreciated. Also if you can see the numbers on it, that would be even better. Or even if anyone might know whine one i need? Maybe this is a common problem with the LM-1? Thanks in advance...

The quest for more torque
|
You can get about any diode of the same physical size and it will work just fine (assuming that it isn't a Schottky or Zener). The forward voltage drop is all about the same and the power rating (which equates to forward current rating) is based on the size. I have an LM-1, but I don't know if you want me to take a picture of anything in it, as it doesn't work very well at all.
Obviously, if the board doesn't indicate the cathode location, you will need to determine that too. I am traveling right now, but when I get home, I can get a pictue for you if you like.
