What hose is this?
OK for the last 2 days i have dug around trying to find out what a certain hose part number is and the diagrams that i have (unless i'm looking in the wrong sections - mosty likley) it is not on.
I beleive that it's a coolant hose of some sort, but could be wrong, all i do know is that it's spraying coolant all over the engine bay due to a split. I have taken pictures of the hose (i'm standing drivers side (JAP IMPORT) taking the photo)) ...and then found a coolant diagram but the pipe is not on it! (Filler neck there but no hose) I have seen this thread on the dark side with the hoses listed, but unsure on exactly what this pipe is. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=331644 Can any one help? - thanks in advance. haha sorry thought it was an fc, I need to go back to bed.
Check the emission diagrams for it. On the fc the line that runs to the bac comes from about where that hose is coming from. Could it be this hose right here? http://atkinsrotary.com/store/catalo...e-p-17093.html

It goes to the bottom of the throttle body via a hard line that (starting just behind the alternator) is part of the "rats nest" bracket.

according to the link on the other forum.. its
N3a1-13-692A water pump housing to hard line (behind alternator) its part of the double throttle system, making sure you can not go full throttle till the engine is warmed up... hot coolant comes off the rear driver (RHD) side of the engine, cross' over to the passenger side, going into the throttle body, working with the double throttle set up, and to keep the TB from freezeing up under cold temps, it exits the TB at the bottom, goes through the 90 degree coolant hose, into the hard line that runs underneath all the coils rats nest etc.. ends up beside the alternator, and then into the water pump housing... feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. J.

It's all part of the Accelerated Warm-up System. Many removed the system at the first opportunity, since few of us drive these cars in the winter anymore. The purpose was mostly to improve drivablity and emissions when really cold. FWIW, it doesn't return directly to the WP housing. It exits the TB via another soft hose to the rear iron.

that's exactly what I was trying to describe... but a little different
if you look at the direction of the arrows in the second picture you posted, it clearly shows it coming from the rear iron, goes to the throttle body, does it things in there. Then exits the throttle body by the 90 degree soft hose, going into the hard line, then through the hard line to the soft line that is leaking on his right now, then into the water pump housing... not trying to step on any toes but... if it does go the way you describe it, why would they use colder coolant for the AWS when a source of warmer coolant is right below it... it also makes more sense to pull hot coolant from the rear of the iron (potentially the hottest coolant in the car) and then send it through the Accelerated warm up system.. not from the cooler coolant coming from the water pump... it would also be a PITA to try and get the pump to push coolant through that whole rather then use the dynamics of heating and cooling properties and fight the natural tendency for the hot coolant to rise... You didn't step on any toes as far as I'm concerned. And I stand corrected and sorry for any confusion. It's been a while since I really looked at the diagram, and I deleted the system during a rebuild...although I'm still using a line between those two points for an aftermarket temp gauge sensor)
I also just finished about 40 hrs over the last three days at work and was sitting back with a Corona and lime. Lesson learned....don't read or post crap when your tired and trying to squeeze the damn lime down.
