Remove the omp and block the hole
For the cars using premix and needing to remove the oil metering pump I have made a 3/16 steel plate to cover the oil hole . The steel is thick enough to hold the gasket and not flex. The plate is very slightly larger than the metering pump so the area around the bolt holes is stronger .The gasket material is rubberized and the bolts and washers are stainless steel .The price is $18 plus shipping .If you need one they will be available through this forum only and as with all my products and work you will be satisfied with thefit and function.

i think it would be a more complete kit. being the plate only covers half the system and most people have a hard time finding the CORRECT thread pitch to block the injectors. im sure there are a lot that wouldnt know the difference but for those of us that want to do it right... or even as an option i guess for the cheap guys that dont want em. personally i was gonna weld up the hole after removing the shaft and gear and internal oiling hole but then again i dont want to pull the front cover just for that either so ill get the plate for now or well soon.
O and i love the engine brace ill get ahold of you for that later z Last edited by proz07; 04-29-2010 at 10:09 PM.. |

and that would be the banzia-racing kit. not bad at 20$ which is the one i was gonna get or at least just the allens if i were to weld my cover first but motors in now and im not cracking it just for that ill use the plate. but if Garfinkle makes the COMPLETE kit with injector blocker bolts this is the only other comany offering this correct style so far. from what i understand all others just use an NPT threaded insert/bolt which has the 'possibility' or deforming the housing if torqued too much. personally i find that statment BS cause ost will have problems with the spark plug hole deforming/cracking long before the oil injector block will give any issues.
But as stated earlier i kinda want to do it right with the right bolt thread pitch for reversibility if needed and for a few cents its worth it. z |
