Default 20B carbed & trans

Ok i have been lookin into the 20B and was wanting to kno if any1 has dropped the EFI and went with a carb or if any1 would happen 2 know how many CFM it would take so i can do it myself. only y i even am lookin into this is for simplicity. i can fix a carb not a computer for less then 50 bucks.

Nxt thing. I was wanting to kno is if the housing will bolt up 2 any trans like the 13b will bolt up 2 a 12a trans or vice-versa, so i dnt have 2 go thru and search for a trans also

Welcome!

20B= no carb manifolds= not cheap

Yes the housings would bolt up, but whether you could find a correct flywheel/counterweight means you would need a T2 trans

a intake can be made like exhaust can be. It mite take a while to get one to work efficiently but possible. more or less just needing the cfm or the formula and specs to do it myself for the 20B.

As for the trans, i think i can get a T5 for it if its the power handling capabilities. so how or where wld u find the counter-weight and flywheel

Let me preface by stating that I am not pissing in your Kool-Aid.

If you have the ability and money to put a 20B in an RX-7, than you better have the knowledge to set it up.

If you ask basic questions about what trans to use and such, you are not ready.

But, to stay on topic:

I used to have a picture of a custom intake manifold for a 20B. It consisted of 2 Racing Beat Holley carb intakes cut and welded together for the 20B. He then ran 2 Racing Beat Holley rotary carbs. This was for initial tuning only. Shortly after, 2 750cc double pumpers with a supercharger were added.

Conversely, you can pick up a 20B intake manifold from Tweakit.net. It is meant to be used with ITB's, but you can get Weber set ups as well.

Go to their website, and drool. Then you had better take out an equity loan. THEN, you can begin work.

if you have the money just do what those Aussie boys do, 20b pp with individual slide carbs on each rotor
