Hi ^_^
Okay so my older brother just gave me a 1986 RX-7... I dont know alot about cars but, i drove it and its SO COOL!!! since then all ive been doing is learning about rotary engines/cars. ive been told that my 7 will die soon (203k miles!) but hopefully i know enough by then to rebuild it.

False, the only way to learn is to take one apart PROPERLY! If you put all the bolts in a bucket, then you might never get it back together!
If you do work, make sure to buy a proper set of tools, and then get zip lock bags to put your bolts in, a sharpie to write where they came from, and some masking tape to wrap around hoses and electrical plugs. Good luck with the car, and not to scare you, but resto modding an old car can make you find a few problems like worn out wheel bearings, driveshaft, rusty fuel tank, aged wiring, and all kinds of stuff. If you're serious about building this thing, take your time and dont make the mistake of thinking you're gonna be able to daily drive it right off the bat. I would focus on stripping down the car and taking the motor apart before it blows up, and then reassembling it from the ground up, knowing you have good brakes, bushings, wheel bearings, that all your bolts are nice and tight, stuff is well lubricated, etc. You're gonna hate to rebuild an engine only to stick it back into a car that cant handle it. Once again, these are really fun if you can swing it, so good luck with it! PS: Another Newb note: don't haphazardly rip out stuff, think it through first. I see a lot of beginner car builders make the mistake of doing irreversible changes to their project, to only later regret it, (myself included) Do some reading, check out sites like aaron cake's FAQ on the FC, and some others, and welcome to the club.
