My (PHILIP SOHN) Rotary cars...
I been a rotary car fan since 1997. Since then I think I went thru quite a few rotary cars..
I started off with this one: 1991 RX-7 convertible Then I got my First FD in 1999 and started to modify. Here is a picture in 2003 after I got it all painted and such: 1993 Black Base FD Then I had money to burn so I bought a mint 1985 GLS SE.. Then Bought and sold 3 more FDs until I found my MB touring FD. And here it is how it sits today.. At the Formula Drift ATL 2008 under Exedu USA booth. And about a year ago, I picked up an 1973 RX-2 to restore.. which now has a 12A from a 1st gen and 5 speed gear box. Runs like a champ! And about 6 months ago, I've decided to replace my daily and get an 2004 Lightning Yellow RX-8. This car is now my daily and future track car.. And I'm in a process of completely re-building my 1993 Black Base RX-7.. It will be done from inside out.. including rare items such as Spirit R seats, Spirit R clusters, Steering wheel, Feed REAL Type 2R bumper, Engine, turbo, etc. etc.. Photoshoot from Zoom Zoom magazine.. And Finally... I can't get my car finished because of Deals Gap Rotary Rally (www.DealsGapRotaryRally.com). I've organized this event for the past 3 years and its becoming one of the largest rotary gathering in USA. here are few pics from the event.. And Videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMnGrmkVWXE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klwZB1s1lL8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE-56ZA6rxs Well, hope this explains few things about me and hope to see some of you come to this years DGRR 2008.. This year I'll be giving away almost $3000 worth of mechandise and expecting well over 200 people! Should be loads of fun and you'll see something new. I'm also offering Stand alone ECU tuning class this year at the DGRR 2008. For More info: www.DealsGapRotaryRally.com

Sweet cars - the only one you got me beat on is the FD and RX2 - I've yet to cross over into FD world... skipped right over it with the 8.
So the tuning class is a go then? Where do I sign up? |

Thanks Guys!
Kai, I wished I had gotten into Rotary earlier... Funny thing is that I got into an arguement with my best friend about how no such engine existed back in early 90s... He had an 84 RX7. Once I knew what Rotary Engine was, I apologized to him!! LOL!

The reason to move is to have more room so you can accumulate more junk.
