commercial pilot new to forum

My name is Kevin, I live in NW Alabama. I like the RX-7, and have drove the one ZGN has way back in the day. I like cruizin with ZGN also.

Being an aviator, I am into speed and fast machines. I met thru my previous flying job, a USAF aviator, and he was building a kit airplane called an RV-8
( http://vansaircraft.com/public/rv-8int.htm ) and he was using a Mazda RX-8 engine. I think rotary power for kit airplanes is pretty cool.

His site is here.... http://www.kit-plane-advice.com/

Of course, its also fun to put mustangs in their place when cruizing around town and at the drag strip.

In closing, I appreciate ZGN for showing me the way and lore of the RX-7.
I hope to get an RX-7 similar to ZGN's some day.

Kevin

Welcome!!

I've been in the AF 13 years (enlisted), but it was always my dream to be a fighter pilot. What did you fly when you were in?

Yeah, let's get moving on getting you into a rotary powered vehicle...whether it has wheels or wings, no matter haha.

Welcome, another pilot here. Just SEL though. I like the idea of a renesis for a Van's. I helped a guy put a 13B in a Zlin about 7 years ago.

Yeah, Most of us like to "fly" with our rotaries, but you give the term a new meaning.

I would think a Renesis would make a good aircraft power plant, good high end torque will drive a prop well and the very lightweight and compant design of the Renesis should make the plane quite a bit of fun (don't forget the captive oil reservoir, allowing longer inverted times than a V-type piston engine).
