Island Guy
Well I'm the proud owner of a `93 JDM RX7.
I live in the Cayman Islands where my brother and myself own a car shop. Found out about this forum from a member that is on another rotary forum. You always hear there's never enough information so I figured it wouldn't hurt to join here. I actually had a hatred for rotary powered cars until I bought one. Weird I guess. Here is a list of the mods done to my car so far: (street) 949 Racing 17x10 front and rear Toyo R1R 275/40/17 (race) Unsure of the brand rims 18x9 Toyo R888 275/35/18 Greddy knock off FMIC Koyo rad HKS twin filters (came with car) 3" turbo back exhaust with HKS muffler (came with car) SS brake lines Pettit short throw shifter Pineapple racing idler pulley aftermarket pulleys (came with car) Banzai racing block off kit OMP deleted Power FC Battery relocated to trunk EBC yellow brake pads Trak Pro II coilovers Improved Racing adjustable swaybar end links Racing Beat front and rear sway bars Launch kit (came with car) urethane diff bushings Think that about covers it for mods. Plans for the car are mainly autocross with some street driving. Due to living in a place where the max speed limit is 50mph, it's generally a good idea I leave the car parked until the races. Other than the RX7, I also have a `06 Dodge Ram 4dr 2wd dually with a 6 speed box. Yup, it's modified. I have a bad feeling about this, but here goes... I also own a `96 Honda Civic hatch. 734whp @ 40psi. Has in a 2.0L built motor with a dog box. Kinda not street legal. Lookin forward to gaining some knowledge about the car and a few tips. Probably babbled enough by now though. Tom

Welcome! I was trying to figure out where I saw your forum name, then I realized you posted about being in the Cayman Islands on the other forum in the HPP diff brace/cradle thread lol.

Yeah that's me. I'm also on a cummins forum with the same name.
I'm trying to convince my wife we need to make a trip to Colorado, but she hates snow since she went to college in Canada. I guess -40 degree weather will do that to you. I've been skiing in Colorado since some long ass time like 1984-1985. Love it over there! |

It's only snowy part of the winter where I am. I mean it will snow several times each winter, but it's usually gone in a day or two. Up in the mountains though, that's a different story lol. I absolutely love it here though, so I know what you mean.
And it doesn't get that cold here either, not -40 anyway haha. I think the coldest I've seen it was 0 or -10, I don't remember which, and that was only for a day a couple years ago. |
