Odometer Problems HELP Plz :)

Hi there, my odometer is not working, the bulb is working but the digital lcd is not , is this a common problem? What could be the main things to cause this, and what would be the way to fix it?

Also i need to find out how to roll back my odo, because its in Km at the moment and i need to get it into Miles,
