New Member!

Hello All, New to this site, and worst of all I don't even have a rotary car! I am working on that now. In fact its probably been 20 years or so since I drove a rotary car. It was a first generation RX-7 and it was a blast. Looking to make myself a rotary powered Miata.

NoDOHC will become famous soon enough
That is a pretty common swap (at least with an NA). You should be able to find all kinds of info on it. A Turbo Rotary is not a common swap into a Miata (drivetrain won't take it very well).

Either way, welcome to the club! Hopefully you will get the swap done soon.

Thank you all!

Yeah I want to see it too. I have had 3 miatas so far, 1 stock, 1 turbo, 1 SC. All great fun! I have always been fascinated by the engineering of a rotary engine and wish Mazda would have made a miata with one. Like a current version of a cosmo. Oh well, just picked up a project 92 miata with a broken timing belt cheap, will take pictures when it gets here and will start the teardown.

I have seen 2 turbo rotary miatas in the Miami area. The first one was around 1999 a neighbor of mine was storing it for a friend. Mind you this is when I had a 240 wheel HP turbo miata at the time. He took me for a ride and when the boost kicked in the car went sideways!!!!

A turbo rotary Miata is cool! I have never seen one. What did he do for the transmission and differential?
