I figured they were a little older, i'd like to try and find something used, or similar design. But I think thats going to be tough. Any rim places you recommend?

There should be a stamping somewhere on the wheel that states the manufacturer or at the very least the model number which would come in handy with a search from either yahoo or google. That is where I would start first, although there is no guarantee that they are still around or producing the wheel you need.
I know I've checked out the company that made the wheels I took off my Celica after I broke one and they have one that is close... but not quite.

Yeah, the "Made in Taiwan" stamping seems to tell me that its a knockoff of something much better in manufacture and more expensive. So theres no time like now to update/upgrade them wheels, even though they looked nice.

made in taiwan products have very good quality. look at hand tool quality vs those made in the US, also electronics and computer components. don't confuse it with "made in china"

Believe it or not, Tirerack is pretty decent for selecting wheels.... as far as buying from then, well I'm sure you can find better prices else where on the web.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/wheel...4x032&code=yes www.ssrwheels.com www.mackinindustries.com I hope that helps. |

only issue with tirerack is they give you shitty offsets. id say do some reasearch and find the style and size that you like.

That "MADE IN TAIWAN" crap is dangerous for items like wheels. That "JWL" emboss is bullshit, and it will never pass a true JWL certification. True, some of the Taiwan stuff is okay, but NOT for automotive wheels! -Ted |

u just said its crap again. its not. lol. sorry if u're a foreign wheel expert / JWL cert guy. but from what i have seen of other products from taiwan, the stuff is top quality. i have not seen "crap" at all.
its like saying ssr is a crap company their wheels tend to bend, that enkei is crap bc they manufactured fd oem wheels( i think?), i guess that makes japanese wheels crap too.

Correction, "JWL" = Japan Wheel Light
I've been messing around with Japan wheels for...lesse...for about 20 years. I bet that's probably longer than you've been alive? There's a LOT of bullshit JWL wheels out there. http://og-made.com/archives/1344 Here's the JAWA list. http://www.jawa.jp/en/members.php Is your wheel brand on this list? None of that Rota shit... -Ted |
